When you visit our website, we will not collect your personal information unless you choose to request information on our products and services, try our online demos, complete online surveys, or conduct business with us.
In the event that you choose to access the convenient hot links to other website that we have provided for your information, please note that you have left the CDIC website and our privacy policies no longer apply.
Retention of Personal Information
A key part of CDIC's business is data. We are collectors and third-party processors of personal information for the purpose of business activities only. CDIC collects personal information to allow us to provide you with promotional information about our company; to fulfill your product and service requirements; and to comply with legal record-keeping requirements. In the process, we may share your information with our business partners and government agencies (e.g. Canada Post). This information is kept confidential. Should you wish to view the personal information we have collected about you or opt out of receiving promotional materials from CDIC, please contact us.
As a third-party processors, CDIC retains personal information as per the timelines required by agreement with our clients or as per our own policies. If your personal information was supplied to us as a third-party processor and you wish to view it, we will refer you to the collector who provided it.
Security of Your Personal Information
CDIC makes every reasonable effort to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of personal information under our care. We have implemented a number of security measures whose scope covers our IT infrastructure; on-site security; personnel; and business practices and policies. Due to the nature of our business and to ensure they satisfy our clients' compliance requirements, these are under ongoing review.
